dbxxx, could u still start it with the key? Popping the button off and using the key inside the fob. Wonder why the temp would affect it? Sounds goofy to me. Good luck on the new one.

Maybe, Champion Dodge on Firestone had a few R/T's last time I looked. Better b on your toes if u buy from them. Typical sterotype of a used car salesman. If u know what I mean.

yah i could, but that defeats the whole purpose of having push button.

i agree about the temp but it NEVER has probs if the cabin temp is cool or not scorching.

also, the stalling makes it a safety issue.

Yes, I have had this problem with heat causing the push-button not working. I pop off the button and use the key. I recall a few months ago that this was being investigated by Dodge. I have over 8K miles and got my '09 RT in Dec. '08.

Wonder what the problem is? Maybe they got a bad batch of switches/buttons. It's not like it's that complex. Your right DB the whole point in having it is to use it. Knock on wood for your new one.

Man, too hot or too cold, glad I don't live in Az or Mich. Looks like the design teams, R&D would have run into this problem in the field testing.
