Default 09 RT auto....12.58 @110!!!

So, I went the Thompson Dragway today with Hemiwoman, Hemiman, and InferAl (from the LX forums).... to try out my new mods. The Hemi couple were out trying to get the feel of their new SRT 6 spd, InferAl has a mid 11 sec Charger RT. Oh, and I met Dynosteve.....sorry no 900 hp Challenger today.
I have two goals: mid 12's on the motor and mid 11's on nitrous. Well, we were fighting traction issues all morning so I never tried the nitrous. But I met my goal on the motor.

By the way....any auto RT owners that think they have posi are sadly mistaken. My car always leaves 2 black marks on the street....but at the track with drag radials...peg-leg all the way.

Anyhow, my RT flies! Here are the mods:

Shorty headers I port matched myself, ported throttle body (that I ported myself), a high flow stock air intake with a K&N drop in filter (that I mod'ed myself), cat-less mid pipes, Magnaflow Comp catback, 180 stat, Predator with a CMR from DXC (thanks Tim!!!! Their CMR really woke this thing up!!!).

Nitto drag radials on my stock plastic 20" rims. The car weighs 3960 with me in it.

I ran alot of 12.7's and 12.8's once I figured out how to launch on a cold track ( mid 40's).

My best time was acheived by footbraking the stock converter to almost 2000, then leaving part throttle until I felt it hooked....then pour it on.

I am attaching my fastes video and a timeslip from that run. NEXT WEEK COMES THE NITROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't underestimate the RT's...with a few mod's and a driver, they flat out run!! I documented everything today too. This included having multiple witnesses see my nitrous bottle in my fiances Jeep.....just to make sure no one starts doubting the times.

10secDodge you are my hero. Those times are awsome. I have some of the mods you have already done. Just need the exhaust part and 180 thermo. Good luck on the NOS.

Headers, cat-less mid pipes, and Magnaflow competition catback with stock tips. As you can tell....it is loud!!

Wait until I spray it!!! should get some 11's with only a 100 horse shot.

You know what you are doing for sure. I feel better knowing what it can do . I wonder if turpintine on the ass of mine would help. LOL. I had a guy with Charger at Beech Bend tell me the computer stuff would really wake mine up . I just need to get traction first. Did you have any problem with wheel hop . Mine was really bad in third gear. Keep us posted with your mods and what it will do. A special Thanks for the video of your run. And it does sound good.

The nitto's are the extreme drag radials. 305/35R20's. They barely fit on the stock rims. They are a decent tire.

Also, the Predator with a CMR tune is the only way to go. It can get a little pricey, but these guys have finally been able to unlock the 5.7's. It make a huge (I mean huge) difference.

My next runs will be with nitrous. Then the heads and cam are getting changed. I am working on a deal with a place to run their new head and cam package for advertisement....so I cant let the cat out of the bag yet. But they are very reputable and it should make the car fly.

Wow 305/35/R20 that is a big tire. 555R drag radials I take it?

Congrads on the times btw. Our track doesn't open until May. Rainy and cool up here in MT still.
