to resize, open the picture in MS paint (all pc's have it), and along the top bar, youll see tools..go into stretch/skew, and change the horozontal and vertical measures to the same, smaller numbers.

i resized it, and now its in my profile but its still not under my name on posts. Do I need to make it even smaller??
