I get my car before the owner of the dealership gets his. As a note, the general sales manager I dealt with has been replaced.

I paid more then all so far, but didnt get it for a show piece. When the concept came out, I was in. I have another short block and have plans to bring the displacement up to 426 in the late fall or early winter. Far from an everyday driver, yet it will see street 99.9% of the time.
I am in the rare posistion to buy a car I can write off in more ways then one. I could not have done that with the manual transmission :-)

I paid $5000 over MSRP. Mine was a cancel or drop. The owner of the dealership got his today and I went and looked. I asked what it would take to switch and the salesman said he already turned down $20,000 over. I said I could wait. Jim

FYI

I started looking in May, called Dallas and Houston and never got a call back at $5000 over. I was in Baton Rouge and down there the dealership I spoke to sold their's for $5000, then $10,000 and the last one for $15,000 over. I think I got lucky to get mine when I did at what I did. Around here I think I could make $5,000 the day it comes in(IMO) The big question is will it still be worth 5 over what I paid for it when the 09's come out? Jim

I grew up rightaround the conner from the dealership your at Dave when i was a kid i worked at the car wash their
