Generally Missouri has cheaper gas than IL due to the fact that the sales tax is lower in Missouri. This is why one town that is a border community from Illinois and Missouri has to position their prices more competitively because of competition from a few gas stations just over the bridge crossing the Mississippi River. You will see people driving over that bridge for precisely that purpose.

$2.80 here in NJ. Until Corzine makes good on his promise to raise the tax on gas. Highest insurance rates in the country, amongst the highest tax rates...and now they want to raise what was some of the cheapest gas in the country....this state sux and it's no wonder everyone's exiling themselves to Pennsyltucky.

here in western N.Y. (land of the taxes) 87 octane is 333.9/gal. In the summer when I drive my '74, the 318 will "ping" on 87
so I use 89 or sometimes 91 octane.

^^^ I agree with you It's going to cost a fortune to take our old challengers out for a cruise. I bet with 93 octane, it will cost about $80 to fill it up and will last about 2 days of cruising.

here in the Seattle area you can expect to pay about $3.45 a gallon, although at Costco is about $.20 a gallon less, bearing the long lines.

we're at $3.08.9 for 87 octane here in southerin IL near St Louis...a short drive across the river and the same brand is $2.75.9.... glad I only have a 6 mile commute (round trip!)

Wow, now that is expensive. Now on the tax thing are they really the highest in the nation. I spent some time in CT working a special project for the USG and my home property tax were $11K a year on a $395K house..
