09 SRT8 Auto will not have the limited slip only manual.

everyone is freaking out on other forums about this.

btw , does anyone have an 09 SRT yet ? Or has not1 shipped...?

wow that is soo lame... My Ram has limited slip and it's an 03' Hemi with the 3.92 gears... what in the heck!!!???
Dodge is just skimping on this car it sounds like... jeezus... Why can't I buy an 09 R/T with 3.92 gears and limited slip???? I mean I've already got that in my truck...
Honestly it's kinda pissing me off...

For the life of me I don't know why Dodge isn't offering one, even as an option. My old 69 Charger had a freakin Sure-Grip axle fer chrissakes. Someone needs their freakin heads examined.

Rudy, 09 SRT's are moving but very slowly. My first one showed up on Tuesday. Sadly though I cancelled that care as it was not what I ordered and had to reorder. But, I did get a good look over it and got to play with it a bit before I pulled my name off the order.

My only question is..Why?
Does it have anything to do with the ESP system (not that I can think of any reason why it would make a difference since the 6-speed should have ESP as well)
It really shouldn't be a cost issue...

Hey Bruce... thats bad news... I just wanted to touch base with you because my name is also Bruce.. and I live near you (Naperville) my SRT 08 came in on July 16th, and I've met a 1/2 dozen chicagoland Challenger SRT owners and was hoping to include you, in fact I went to a car show a couple of weeks ago, that had 2 SRTS, A beautiful RT, and a nice SE, along with a bunch of old Mopar Iron.

I'm a member of the Chicagoland Mopar Connection car club, we have lots of Mopar people in this area... I'd like to introduce you to.

On the subject of "sure grips" or posi traction.... my point is.... on my 08 SRT it does not have it, yet can smoke both tires, its very fast and pulls hard off the line....I don't think my car would be "better" or faster with it... and the fact is I just don't miss it .. and yes I have had a number of cars with it.

Admit it though... that"s just because the black ones are so much faster than the others...

I noticed the same thing that I am leaving two wheel burn outs. If you go back and look at the burnout you will notice one side there are these strips of dark lines whatever you want to call it. I think the ABS is braking the spinning wheel. I see this with the stability management off. SO I guess we will be looking at more than tires burning up!!

It will be interesting to see what the issue is with the LS. I am going with the rear itself or the half shafts just will not take that abuse and Chrysler so not want to live with the warranties.
