Default 0-60 problems.

Did my second WOT from a stop just now and did better then my last 0-60 but still noticed a ton of wheelspin for the first few seconds ... is there a better strategy on launching the SRT ? Like maybe a little tap tap then smash ? i'm not complaining about this huge car running a 5.32 but I would like to get it down to below 5's if possible thanks guys.

Rudy,

They have said the best 0-60 times is from a 1 foot roll. I'm not sure how you do that ? (Almost coast to a stop, reset 0-60 timer and go). It seems if you reset timer once you move it starts time. I haven't quite figured out the 1 foot roll myself. My best time is with esp on for sure. You have to play with the rpm at start try about 700-800 rpm at launch. There is a sweet spot, you just have to find it.

Let me know how you did and if you tached the rpms before launch and what they were.

You probably won't be able to replicate the best time. The surface you try it on is just as important as everything else. It will probably take a well seasoned drag strip with good rubber for a sticky launch pad. Then you'll need to know what tire pressure to run. I assume you know how to pre-load the transmission before launch. After that it is all in the modulation of the throttle.

1500 and 1700 are too high... will get you too much wheel spin. Try closer to 1000 rpm range. I was able to get 5.00 twice... and 4.78 once. Other than that was in the low to mid fives mostly.

Seems I got my best times around 900 to 1000. Then there is the whole ESP thing that messes with the launch technique... [8D]

I am with mopar2ya that 900 to 1000 is best. I get from the high 4's to the low 5's when I load up to 1000.
