Default Brand of Oil?

I am changing the oil for the first time in the Challenger next Saturday and need to pick a brand of oil.

The obvious choice is Mobil1. I know others swear by Royal Purple. Any thoughts?

Also, any oil filter recommendations? I ordered several Mopar filters, just to have in stock.

Thanks in advance for any help.

183000 miles on my lexus engine-use mobile 1 15,000 mile engine oil. Still running strong. Also use Mobile 1 on my BMW 328xi but it only has 20,000 miles on it.

No doubt about it. Mobil 1 after break in. AMS Oil is OK I guess but too much hassle to get.
My dielma is stanard Mobil 1 or the extended version. Probably the normal one and change it every 6 or 6.
