Default Can this be done at all?

I am not sure if this can be done because I am no expert in old school filters. But look at this pic and tell me if that is possible on a 5.7 or 6.1 l. that car is a 6.4l engine with ta hood.

why not? can you elaborate? It seems like the filter fits perfect under the ta hood?

the throttle body is set up differently than an intake manifold and carb like shown on the pic. With that intake and carb setup it puts the filter on the top of the engine like shown, but the throttle body on either a 5.7 or a 6.1 puts the filter in front of the engine which is completely different. The only way you could get a look like that truly is to swap out the intake and fuel injection throttle body and it would be too much work just for a traditional look with the air filter up top.

Someone felt it was worth the trouble, looks good. Where did the picture come from? Is it a MOPAR factory car?

There is an ad in one of the Mopar magazines that state they are selling 4-barrel intake manifolds for the 6.1 Hemi. So if you want to go old school it can be done. It's possible that this Challenger has one of these setups.........but why would you want to go with a carb?
(Sorry but the color does nothing at all for me...BUT, if the owner likes it that's all that matters).
