Default Car Cut Off

I went over a bump , shifted to reverse , engine down.

started back up fine ...

key fob has been having problems being "detected"

should I take her in? I've driven 200miles (back home) since it happened with no issue.

How about alittle more info as to what happened, and what the car did when you shifted into reverse.
As for the key fob, take it to the dealer for a fix.

Rudy,
You were going 10mph in forward then shifted in reverse? Why in the world would you want to do that? Maybe you should keep your hand off of the shifter.

Rudy,
We have a TSB on the fobs. If you contact the dealer they are going to replace both fobs for the exact problem you are having. You should call prior to taking it in so they can get the new fobs ordered.
Anyone with a 2008 needs to get the fobs changed out before you have issues.

You will probably be ok, most of the newer cars will not let the tranny to go into reverse after a certain forward speed. Otherwise you would have really felt and heard it. Dont ask me how I know.

Supposedly, it is only a problem on the 2008s and maybe some early 2009s. However, I did have one incident with my 2009, but when I tok it back to the dealer, it worked fine. Go figure.
