Challenger on hold all cars sent to storage
 

They are sending all of the built Challengers including all in transit to storage facilities. This is due to an electrical problem/short in the transmission electrical system. They are still building Challenger at a rate of 180 units a day with the problem but when they are finished they are sending them to storage yards until the issue can be isolated and a fix for the short. This includes approximately 400 Challengers that have left the Brampton assembly plant and are in transit. They are being placed in J S status and diverted to storage yards.

I think i would much rather them keep being delievered to dealers and kept there until the issue is fixed. That way i could atleast sit in it.

The delay will be delaid, due to the delay in the delayable.....

I guess Jay Leno is going to have to take his back to the dealer!

I would much rather them fix it now then have a nationwide recall for car fires or something! Dodge doesn't need that bad press.

But dang, my Chally stills has a 3 to 4 week cruise after it's built to get to Europe...think maybe I can get the Air Force fly it over in a C5 or C17?????

No offence, but this is what happens when you guys pressure the manufacturer to get the cars out quick. They need time to make sure everything is right! It may seem like it's taking forever, but that's only if you don't understand how to properly produce a car from devopment. Sit back, calm down, and let em do it right.
