Default challenger SS in person...

I will post pictures once i resize them all, but now that ive seen the challenger ss in person, it is clear that this car will NEVER be a production vehicle. everyone who suggested that this car is proof of anything has either not seen it in person, or knows nothing about cars in general.

it has leaf springs, and the rear perch is mounted through a hole cut in the rear bumper, and it doesnt have exhaust.

cool? of course. [8D]

but no aspect of this car proves anything about the possible production of a beefed up challenger.

i hope to have my pictures up tomorrow, and once i tag my videos, i have a walk around of the SS concept and the DETCHA car.

I worked a long day Thursday and then fought 30 MPH stop and go rush hour traffic for an hour and 10 minutes to get from south of Detroit to the Auburn Hills Chrysler Tech center home of WP Chrysler museum. My frustrations were abated by the sight of over 100 vintage cas, predominantly Mopar and mostly Mopar Muscle and heavily Dodge Challenger, as it was, after all, Dodge Challenger night. A couple hot dogs and a soda later, listening to rock and roll played by the DJ, I snapped my digital Kodak documenting the trim options on the various years and models Challengers, Challenger R/T, Challenger RT/SE but no Challenger TAs. Patience was key to photos of the paired concept cars, waiting out passers by and lookers in the photos. Wonderful cooling breeze near sunset, and rumble of big blocks motoring out of lot. I asked a passer by to take photos of me next to concepts...guy was on design team, wanted to know what I thought of concept car

DUH...mentioned challenger forum, and he says they watch it from time to time.

sorry I do not know you better Mirada, to find you there.

steve, i got there aroudn 5:30. i dont have a car to show right now, although i had the stratus all shined up. i have been a bit under the weather, and left by 6:30, as the heat wasnt improving how i felt. when i got there, the lot nearest the SRT tent was already full, but there wasnt much foot traffic around the challengers.

a few people looked at me like they knew me...im a bald guy with a goatee, wearing a bright yellow plymouth shirt.

was the guy from the design team that you spoke with a shorter guy (maybe 5'8") very tan wearing a dark colored shirt? if so, he is the guy who gets to drive it, and amanda and I have spoken to him on quite a few occassions...hes a nice guy.

now for some of my pictures...i dont have my videos tagged yet...

and, one of my car...in case anyone noticed it while there..

Paladin, the artwork you are displaying now on your posts, "old school/new school" Challenger -- is pretty cool! I really like it and would love to get a copy if available as a print... ...can you provide a source?
