Default Early 2009 Buyers- How Do You Feel?

Now that incentives are here, how do you early buyers of the 2009s feel? Do you regret not waiting?

I ordered my car in May but did not get it until December 13 after my original dealer went out of business on October 29. I was planning on having my car for the Fall driving season. Instead, I got in in the dead of winter. If I had waited, I know that I could have found one on a dealer's lot (within driving distance) with Employee Pricing and saved several thousand dollars that I could have used for mods.

I beat MSRP by about as much as the incentives add up to. I didn't get the 0% financing, Oh well. Truthfully, I don't think my car, as trimmed, would have stayed around much longer as 1 deal had to fall through to make room for me and another contract was pending financing approval.

How many stripe delete, nav delete, non sun roof SRT8s 6 speeds have you guys seen? I'd really like to know as there was only one in all of the South East US when I purchased.

I don't regret it a bit. I have enjoyed every minute of ownership. I paid smack between MSRP and invoice, so I don't feel too bad about the deal. The Rock Star treatment has been an unexpected plus. We are still in pretty rarified air in owning these vehicles. You see a few on the lots but not many have the means to get them or they settle for a more practical vehicle. The financing was a non-issue for me, I had saved enough to buy it outright and didn't trade anything in. All in all, Now or then, don't even think about it. I had already waited from the first hint of production through not getting my 08 that I ordered on the first morning possible to order. I had waited long enough. When the 08 wasn't going to be made, I changed the order to an R/T, because that is all I really need. The wife was thilled because she wanted the Torred from the beginning and was disappointed with the 08 color choices. For me, I wouldn't change a thing.

Ordered 6/20, built 9/24, delivered 10/22, admired every day in the garage, driven most every dry day since. Up to 1450 miles.

This car just makes a person feel good to look at it, to say nothing about driving it. By leaps and bounds the best automotive experience in my life.

Paid a bit more in Oct than today? In my case, not much at all.

Nonetheless, who cares in the long run.

A wonderful self reward for decades of hard work, as well Mopar loyalty and enthusiasm.

I bought mine on Dec 31st 2008 after about 2 months of haggling. I paid $450 below invoice. All of the incentives would not have saved me one cent off the price of the car. I didnt trade in anything either. I wrote a check for 30k & financed $7200 at 4% for 3 years. So that said I could have saved what $452.52. I'm happy I bought when i did.

The SRT (and all Challys for that matter) has Employee Pricing, plus a $1,000 rebate, plus 0% financing until the beginning of March. They are not at list, and probably never will be again.

I paid MSRP in Dec, since I bought mine the dealer has not had any with the options or color I wanted. I only financed $5000.00 of the purchase at 4% so its well worth getting what I wanted at the time.
