Hood Strut Rod help
I was wondering if any 2009 R/T or SE Challenger owners have installed the hydraulic strut rods to thier hoods yet? I just purchased the complete kit and need to know if to attach each end of each rod do you need to pull the spring clip all the way off the ball fixture at the end or do you just push the end on the ball really hard. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to hurt my Baby , LOL thanks

RE: Hood Strut Rod help
YES - I have done this and reported all about it fully on this forum last month.
I pulled the clip partially off center and then popped the ball into the strut. I then pushed the clip back in place and it locks it down.
I have read that some folks have not moved the clip at all and it still pops into place anyway.
Do not remove the factory installed prop rod - just in case of strut failure.
