Is there a reason for these colors?

I have always known red and it's cousins (orange) to be rather expensive compared to other colors.
Why, oh why, did I paint my Suburban red???

They are popular colors (ie., buyers will pay a premium for them) and the pearlcoats are more expensive.

Yet another example of, "Well, the country's in a recession and we aren't selling many cars, so let's figure out ways to jack up the price on the few we DO sell." Next up: $962.50 if you want tires.

They shut down the factory for a month and that is the only idea they come up with?....Surely that great marketing nugget will pull them back from the precipice of bankruptcy.

I suppose it only makes sense to raise the price on the cars that ARE selling. I don't believe they have a stockpile of Challengers. Supply & Demand at work here folks.
