Default Those old 08 buggies are showing up...

...on used-car lots. Here's an ad for an 08 I ran across:

2008 Challenger 2 Door Coupe

$42,991.00*
Color: Orange
Mileage: 3083 mi
Stock ID: T8H302979
Eng: 6.1L V8 16V MPFI OHV 5-Speed Automatic
Lone Star Ford Inc
8477 North Freeway
Houston, TX 77037

Obviously, they've knocked off the original $10K or $20K or whatever markup.

Anyone who brought an 08 Challenger thinking they were going to turn it around within a year and make big bucks.....well there is one born every minute I guess......

And, by the way it will not be long before 09's will be out there in the secondary market..............as some people just don't do their homework before buying....

I will take 2 at 16k..

Did a quick search on finished auctions on ebay. 08 that sold were between 38k and 42k. With how challenging times are now..They are pulling pretty strong numbers.. If I had to seel I would be happy with that range.

16-25 sounds like a STEAL. I could see that being what a dealer gives for a trade in, but even then that sounds low. If I see one in that price range I'm buying it, even though I swore that my next car would be manual trans.

hey rudy if you actually shopped around instead of daddy buying it for you for 55k (barf could get a new z06 with that)
you would know...down here where rudy and I live....unfortunately rudy too.....a dealer sold a used srt8 in black with 15k miles for 22k,....i got this from a buddy on another forum...by the time i called to buy it it was sold....if the guys that fail to realize that an american car with this economy doesnt make your challengers go down in price then you need to go take economics again. Call university dodge if you want to verify....thanks again guys, goes to show if you want a great deal...patience is key! btw srt8 chargers 300s and magnums go for 16k in pretty good condition and miaage...a good buddy of mine buys them from auctions and resells them. So in a bout a year there will be amazing deals to be had with these cars.

rudy looks like your new to the buying scene.....since you probably have never bought anything with your own money...ebay isnt the place to see the price of things. btw your daddy will never have 10 of them, hes probably behind on the mortgage.

You sure that wasn't an SRT8 Charger and not a Challenger going for that price? [sm=smiley25.gif]

That price seems awfully cheap for an SRT8 Charger, let alone a Challenger. I know resale values for American cars pretty much sucks, but IF that story is actually true (which I have a very hard time believing), something HAD to be up with it.
