ford will indeed build a retail-market version of the Shelby GT-H Mustang, its in tribute of the 1966 GT.350H. they say it will be simply called "Shelby GT" and will have the shelby paint on it. they havent said how many they will be producing but i'll tell u what, i'm very exsited for this 2 come out.

RE: Shelby
That is the classic one isn't it, Mark? I would be happier if they offered the non-supercharged 5.4L.

RE: Shelby
It does. If they could make the new one look more like that, I wouldn't be as big a critic of the new GT500 or Shelby GT.

RE: Shelby
the shelby gt350h is already available at hertz rental agencies around the country. it only comes in black with gold stripes, and from what i understand, its quite a hassle to rent one. this is a "Flashback" to their rent-a-racer program of the 1969.
however, there is also a "shelby GT" coming out, which is just a built up GT from what i understand...ive not done a review of one, so im not certain.

RE: Shelby
The Shelby GT is the same as the Hertz car, But with different colors and maybe the body style is a little different, but the performance parts are the same. Engine and suspension. I believe it will be priced at 35,000. And I will have to look, but believe I saw the HP at 325.

RE: Shelby
$35,000 for 325hp is a rip off. I didn't know about Hertz 1969 program. Why exactly does Hertz get a special Mustang that so far appears it will not be available to the normal U.S. public?

RE: Shelby
because hertz was a part of the original program..its a throwback thing...like the orignal gt350h models, the new ones will be soldto the public after a year of rentals..or something like that

RE: Shelby
Okay then thanks for explaining that. I think it is a waste of money if you ask me.
