Ya know whos car that is dont you? Top Fuel Funny Car,(NHRA). retired in 02? I saw that car in person the craftsmanship is phenomenol. The engine is the modern 5.7 Hemi and a Shafi Keisler Modified six-speed, lots of trick carbon fiber and paint. Cool retro looks and modern performance!

I think I just saw that car in Mopar Muscle this month? I haven't read the article yet, but I don't think there are too many 70 Challengers with the 5.7 hemi in it tho. That car is awesome looking, they did a spectular job

Yeah, Thats the one. Dean Skuza's car! He is really a nice guy! Wonder if he is gonna "upgrade that 5.7 Hemi to the "new" 392 Gary Stanton built Hemi's that MoPar Perf. are gonna sell this coming year which makes a bunch more power than the 5.7. That car while not my cup of tea, is pretty radical with all that Carbon fiber. Wonder how much that baby costs! It also has a modern suspension and electronics. Way back in 98, John Balow's crew put together the ultimate clone, 1964 Plymouth A-990 car,(clone), with a wicked cross ramed 426 SuperStock! Now thats my kinda car, its what I grew up with. He sold it to finance his resto business. It was on the cover of Mopar Muscle magazine in Aug. I think. My R/T is gonna be in an upcoming issue of MoPar Muscle mag. They are doing a tech article on tuning Ma MoPars legendary Six Pack carbs. The "built" 440 SixPack in my Dodge Challenger R/T, Original,N-96 Car is gonna get the "works" done to it and Randy Bolig the editor of MoPar Muscle Mag. wanted to put that tech article in an upcoming issue. The six-pack pro-Max parts went very well and the car made over 360 RWHP on their 1750 mustang dyno which is a very tough dyno. A stock 426 Hemi makes about 300-330 RWHP.

It there any tip or trickes you can give me on the 6pack set up. This spring I'm probably going to rebuild the carbs and try to tune them in to the best of my capablity. In the past 4 years I've only driven my chally about 500 or so miles, I was away at college during those years. It's time to start rebuilding and restoring everything.

I look forward to seeing your car in the upcoming issue. Maybe it will give me some ideas for suspension, I think on the other forum you were talking about this set up. All I can say is that you car is amazing, I can only dream to get mine in that condition.

Thanks jdb840, I have lots of $$ in it but I think its worth it! Wish some of you dudes were closer I would give you a ride! My six-pack set-up originally worked OK but that wasnt good enough for me, there was definitely a lean condition,(bog), in the transition or going to wide open throttle. I investigated several companies that make the tuning parts for the six-pack like quik-fuel,Holley, and of course PRO-MAX out of Indianapolis,IN. Pro-Max assured me that they are MoPar specialists dedicated to the six-pack set-up, and they had many more parts and accessories for us MoPar guys and more importantly they had a newsletter, tech page for setting up your stock six-pack or the pro-max stuff, www.promaxcarbs.com, the guys at MCR tell me they were very impressed with the pro-max parts, it was easy to install and the jetting was right on, 68 primary,87 secondaries was the "ticket for my engine which is modded internally pretty good, ross forged pistons 10.5 comp, comp cams k-kit, eddies heads stage1 port, ect.. There is no lag,bog or any funny stuff now, its in the revs right now! Which is what I wanted. Thanks for the kind compliments let me know if you need any help,EDDIE.
