RE: Rumors- Who to Believe?

It's funny to watch you guys snipe at Allpar. The raw info on Allpar's boards is way more accurate than anything I've seen here, with one exception: ResumeSpeed's stuff. If he says it, take it to...

RE: rear wheel drive

Um, no.

In some of the spy shots you can see the rear diff.

It's DEFINITELY RWD. It's being built in a RWD plant on an RWD platform. There's zero, repeat zero, chance that this car will be...

RE: Challenger SRT-8 Release Date - Anybody Know???

Not true. The S0s that have been in the spy pix clearly show significant changes from the concept. The front overhang is shorter, the tuck-in under the doors is reduced, there's a b-pillar, the...

RE: Rumors- Who to Believe?

Expect the new 5.7 to launch with the all-new Ram, and expect it to have enough power to embarrass the Tundra. My guess is 400, but we'll see.

RE: What is the expected price for the Challenger?

The "garbage from allpar" on the Charger turned out to be dead-on, right down to a detailed pencil drawing of the car months before official images or spy shots showed up. Same deal with most of the...

RE: What is the expected price for the Challenger?

"Single piece of evidence" in the sense of an official announcement from Chrysler? No, of course not. Evidence in the sense of leaks from multiple insiders with long, solid track records? You bet....

RE: 7.0 Hemi?

Not true. There is a 6.9 that has been developed for SRT and is in the product plan for Challenger, but I don't know if it has been approved. And as far as I know, it's just a Hemi, not some DOHC...

RE: Rumors- Who to Believe?

That blog doesn't belong to Chrysler, it belongs to a guy named hemidakota who posts in various Mopar forums. Sorry, guys.

RE: Rumors- Who to Believe?

The thing is... the "08s" are going to be a limited run to get the flex line up to speed. They'll try to get one to every dealer, like Ford did with the first 05 Mustangs, and the options will be...

RE: What is the expected price for the Challenger?

On the off chance that anyone still cares about the original poster's question, the current 'insider' rumor is that a 6.1 R/T will cost about what a Mustang GT vert costs, or around $31k...

RE: POLL: First on the Block, or Wait for a Good Price

No.

History isn't going to repeat itself here.

I happen to know that the most desirable options won't even be available until a couple model years in. Expect upgrades and new packages...

RE: SRT v. RT

6.985, actually. But they won't call it a 7 liter because "everyone knows" a 7 liter is a 427.

RE: SRT v. RT

It's funny how one of the best-wired sources in all of Mopar-land keeps posting this stuff and you guys keep ignoring him.

Guys, 6.9 liters is 426 ci. Wake up, y'all.
