That is correct. HOWEVER, I believe this only applies to US plants. Canadian and Mexican plants will only be shutdown for one week is what I am hearing.

RE Stereo aux plug

I plugged in my daughters and then mine IPOD into the AUX jack and it plays the IPOD just fine. No volume issues... at least not yet.
