RE: Who's waiting for the manual?

Looks like I was wrong about the rollbar being in the bed. Looks like it's on the back wall of the cab, with the top tied onto it somehow. It's inside the cab when the top is up.

Hmmm......

RE: Who's waiting for the manual?

Thanks for that Mustang link, Axel, gives me even more information to plug into my deliberations about my Challenger.

Yes, Skippy, they did build a Dakota convertible. (I know you didn't ask me,...

RE: Chrysler Historical?

Between the safety issues and the price of Sunoco Ultra, my wife and I are leaning toward an extended sabbatical for the Challenger. Full tank w/ Sta-Bil, oil change, jack stands; time to pray,...

RE: What will be different? Concept VS. Production

Another big difference is in the tail light panel. Chrysler's not showing much in the teaser pics, but the Vegas pics show the reverse light back in the center, like the '70.

Champcaracing...

RE: Chrysler Historical?

Thank you! Now, why couldn't he have just told me that? I figured that was the purpose of the bracing creases, but of course my hood doesn't have them.

So, next question if anyone knows: ...

Chrysler Historical?

In my post in the classic Challenger section, I mentioned my concern about the hood on my Challenger potentially coming to meet me in an accident. I sent a request for information to Chrysler...

RE: XP or Vista

Hey, I still have a Commodore 64 -- and SX64, no less. They called it an "Executive Computer", and it was probably the first "laptop". It's the size of a big briefcase and HEAVY. The keyboard...

RE: Stealth Challenger owners

Didn't mean at all to indicate you weren't doing your job...;) Just noticing a lot of people talking about their Challengers who are listed as "318 member" or something. Maybe they are just trying to...

RE: First on the Block???

You're right, RLSH, about the Dynasty being and extended K Car. Matter of fact, nearly every front wheel drive vehicle Chrysler built between 1981 and 1994 was a K Car. Even the minvans. Only the...

RE: First on the Block???

I've had my K Car for ten years and almost 160k miles (car now has 257k) and I plan on driving it until I can't fix it anymore. I make my car payments to Advance Auto Parts! ;)

RE: First on the Block???

I was wondering about the contentment part. What happens when the "firstness" wears off? Sell for $15k less than you bought for and spent $15k too much on the next "first" thing? (2010 'cuda??)...

Stealth Challenger owners

Seems we have a lot of Challenger owners here who don't have it noted in their user title. Is there some way to fix that (unless they don't want it noted...)?

RE: Just ordered my 2008 Challenger!

Nah, I love poverty. Much happier letting everyone else spent buko buckos on a toy that'll drop 90% of its value in 15 years.

Got my wife, my kids, a roof over my head... :D

Killer Hood?

I read Geoff Stunkard's E-Body article in the Dec. '07 Muscle Car Review, and one of his sidebars is causing me a little concern. He mentions that the Shaker wasn't available most of the model year...

RE: Case for AWD

Yeah, had studded snows on my K-car two winters ago. Wasn't much anywhere I couldn't go. Boss wasn't too happy about me grinding the tarcoat off his driveway, though. ;)

I drove a paper route...

First on the Block???

Maybe it's the way I was raised. We didn't have a microwave until about 1984. My parents still have a CRT television. My dad's first camcorder was used (one that took full size VHS tapes). My cell...

RE: Case for AWD

The differential in your final drive wants to turn the wheel with the least resistance (unless you have some sort of Sure-Grip). So when you're sitting helplessly spinning one wheel, the brake on...

RE: Chrysler Poised To Cut Off Orders for 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8

Yeah, and they don't want that many vehicles coming in for warranty work before they get all the bugs worked out! ;)

RE: Future Collectibility Rant

In defense of the rice rodders, I wonder if the street rodders of the 50s got the same complaints we're giving the rice rodders now? (Why on earth would you want a Model T???) Some of you more...

RE: New Challenger Pics!

This looks suspiciously like a dealership brochure, and I'm guessing the closeup shots are the production Challenger! That would explain the different grilles, for sure, and I don't think the concept...
