On what basis is it being suggested that modding an RT will end up costing more?

50 HP could easily be obtained for around 2.5-3K. Spending 10K-11K more for an SRT8 gets you get more standard...

Now this is "just" a 5.7, but you can hear the 44s very well through a Magnaflow X-pipe. Not my car, just found this video awhile back and decided to go this route when I get my RT.

As stated, the RT is a blank canvas, and that is suuuuuper appealing.

Also, in regards to fuel economy....putting premium in the SRTFuelDestroyer would be at least a weekly...
