Welcome MoparMarc, nice car and good find. They are getting harder and harder to get. You found one in really nice shape. What are your plans for the car? It looks to be very factory and that is hard to come by these days. It reminds me of what my car looked like when I first got it in 78. Only make the car gold and the top black. Good luck and have fun with that classic.

Thanks, Ya She looks to be a survivor. As far as I know the car was never Really Touched besides regular Mantinance.

My plans are to get her running Good, and cleaned up. Then to Drive it.

Welcome aboard. Congratulations on having an original. Looks like a 1973 with a 318cu.

Keep us posted on your restoration progress with pictures.

Welcome to the site, your cars looks good.

What part of Chicago are you from? I remember seeing a challenger similar to that a few years ago in New Lenox, which is right by the chicago land speedway.

Welcome you lucky guy. As part of new hobby I am building a library based on Mopar products and their history. If you have specific questions about your Challenger please ask away. If you like, provide the VIN and I'll provide all the details behind it.

As an example for your car there were only three engines available for the 1973 and 74 Challenger. The six cylinder was dropped and the V-8 choices were limited to the LA Series-based economy 318 two-barrel, the high performance 340 four barrel V-8 in 1973 and the 360 four barrel V-8 in the 1974.
