Default One for Patrick

Ever heard of the Mirada Magnum showcar from 1980? Neither had I.... but it showed up at Carlisle this year, for sale if you could come up with the 100K asking price.....[sm=yikesomg.gif]

my dad spoke to the guy who owns the car. I found pictures online a few years ago, and saved them, when he had it for sale online...I cannot forsee him EVER selling it for that price. there are but a handful of mirada enthusiasts in the world, and several of them live within a few miles of us (can you believe that there are 3 miradas in the 12 second or faster range in one county?), and those who would really like the car, like me, would never pay 100,000 for it. I would much sooner drive a hemi car.

i think that its very cool, but not worth what he is asking...

I thought the price was nuts too... talked to the guy for a little while, he said he had approached Steve Juliano about it, but even he wasn't interested.... like you said, Mirada lovers are kind of few and far between... most people anymore don't even know what they are. I have a few others I shot at Carlisle- when I have some more time, I'll post 'em for you.

I don't know why but when I see those photos, I'm reminded of the De Lorean DMC-12. Looks sharp.
