Hello there

I have been watching and waiting for the Challenger to be available and I cant believe the wait is going to continue until fall 08.
Does anyone know if that date is set in stone? Can it Will it be sooner?

From what I gather, you will see them on the streets in the spring of 2008. Feb. 2008 is the official unveiling of the production DODGE CHALLENGER and they will be shipping them to dealers after that. Now that is if everything goes smooth and they have no major setbacks or problems. Welcome to the forums and are you going to buy a new Challenger? If so what is it you are looking for in the new Challenger? 5.7 6.1 6.4 or a nice 6-cylinder. 5 speed auto? 6 speed manual? What color and interior are you interested in? After the Detroit auto show things will be put in high gear and those with enough coins will be on the street with the first of the new Challengers. Then the rest of us will get the chance after the newness wears off. Good luck and welcome.l

I'm hoping to obtain the challanger ASAP but of course the $$ factor matters. As far the spec's well I would love to get Hemi 8 with manual. But that would have a larger engine than my hubbies truck, which would cause a knee jerk reaction for him to trade in his Dakota and get a Ram. So I will go for a 6.7 magnum (same and as the truck) I hope to get the most sporty model, I'm not sure of the colour I like the orange but then again the black would be good. I really like the black interior. The only thing I would change is the rims, I would like some old school deep dish high polished rims but in alum.

Then I would take it to the Mustang car shows just for fun.

What will you be getting?

I will be getting the biggest motor they make with a 6-speed. I like the stock look, so my money will go into bolt ons for the engine. If you take the Challenger to a Mustang show... be careful, you could cause a stampede. Horses will run when frightened. Good luck on your Challenger purchase and I like the idea of old school polished mags. Have a good weekend.
