Default Need some stats on the 1970 Challenger R/T hardtops....

A few questions...

1. How many 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T hardtops came in Top Bannana Yellow?

2. How many 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T hardtops in top bannana yellow came with the "Go Wing" rear spoiler?

3. How many 440 six pack 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T's were built at the Newark Delaware Chrysler plant?

4. How many 1970 Dodge Challengers were built at the Newark Delaware Chrysler plant?

5. How may 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T's in Top Bannana Yellow had 383-4 barrels?

Thanks

I'm not sure about your questions 1, 2, and 5, but the quick answer to 3 and 4 is: None.
No Challengers were built at Chrysler Newark. They were all built at either Hamtramck, Michigan or Los Angeles, and the LA plant ONLY built hardtops, as I recall. The seventh digit of the VIN tells the manufacturing plant: B for Hamtramck, E (I think) for LA.

Thanks for helping out, someone had told me the Chrysler plant built Challengers but I didn't think that was correct. Obvisously my guess was right since you confirmed they were built only in Hamtrack and LA.

I was interested because I live about 1 hour and 45 mins south of the Chrysler Plant in Newark Delaware. I recently found a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Top Bannana Yellow, with a hardtop, dual scoop hood, black longitudinal R/T stripe, and a black "go wing" rear spoiler. The car is sitting with dozens of other classic muscle cars, mostly GM and Fords.

Thanks again
