Does anybody know how to unlock the radio so that the DVD video will play on the radio's screen? The DVD audio is great but no picture.

The DVD video is only viewable when the car is stationary and the emergency brake is engaged. Once you press the emergency brake a "view video" icon appears in the bottom right of the screen, press the icon and you're good to go.

If you install a REC LOCKPICK you can disable the park/E brake lockout.

The MyGIG REC Lockpick is an inline device that gets installed via an harness to the back of your radio. It's a little pricey. I already have a lot in this install. I will consider it. I don't think I really want to watch DVD while driving enough to pay $300.00. Now if I have passengers that a different story but the DVD is distracting and you can't help but look at it ocasionally when driving. The question is: Will this be dangerous and cause an accident. We all have enough distractions as it is. I will think about this one.
Just FYI I tried grounding the emergency brake switch to enable the DVD, just as an experiment. The DVD plays but when you move the car after about 15 seconds the DVD screen stops the viewing process and only allows the audio process, plus because the BRAKE light on the dash is blinking there is a chime about once a minute. Not a good idea.
