Default Dealer Upgrades

Ford designed their modular motor knowing stang guys were/are going to modify them. Sure hope Dodge does the same. I would go even farther in asking that the factory train the dealers in upgrades, such as cams, super chargers, rear end gearing, ect.... Even dyno tuning capability would be awesome. Buy a harley davidson and you can go back to the dealer and have a big bore kit installed along with stroker kits, bigger thottle bodies and even heads. This is extremely convenient! What do you think?

i think that it will happen, if not by the dealer than most definitely by mopar and other aftermarket companies. Some people wait until the warrenty is over before making serious modifications while others do not. It would behoove dealerships to provide warrenty backed modifications for their cars. i think it will probably be done only by the bigger name dealerships in the states. In fact, on a few tv shows (King of Cars and Unique Whips ) have dealer modified (or by a third party contracted by the dealer). My biggest fear is the cost.

I am sure the minute they officially anounced the build, aftermarket companies started a rough design of mods for it and trying to find as much info they can to get as close to a design before it comes out. This way they don't wait long after people actually start buying teh car.

I hope unlike the 2 valve version of the Modular engine that the HEMI is less expensive to mod. I would say we are pretty safe and sure to get the aftermarket mods. If they made aftermarket stuff for the Ram back in the late 90s, they would certainly make this stuff for a muscle car.
