Have you ever heard of the internet? You do not have to buy your new Challenger locally. I live in VA and got my 08 SRT 8 in Boston. I wasn’t willing to pay the market adjusted price the local dealers wanted, and got. I just checked eBay; there are several 09 R/T with buy it now prices in the 30s.
It does cost you anything to send the dealer an email and make an offer, all they can do is say no. If you’re serious decide what you want to pay, check several dealers’ inventories at their web site. Send them an offer and sit back and wait. If you don’t get a reply, just move on to the next set of dealers. I had to do this three before I found a dealer that wanted to sell their Challenger at my price.

BTW I'm not a sap either.

I finally got the phone call that they would sell at MSRP plus options, I bought it last night for $33,000 plus tax and lic.
I bought the 6 speed, Tored with fender stripes, sunroof, upgraded stereo. I just need to have it detailed some now. It was snowing so it is pretty dirty now. I will not take it out of the garage until the roads are cleared up. Then dodge will detail it for me.

Do people understand that as long as people like me will pay 10k over sticker then the dealers will keep marking them up ... it's just buisness.
Hold on there, Junior - WHO paid 10K over sticker..? Somehow I'm guessing it wasn't YOU...
