Default Engine size 5.7L

What does that translate to a 340 or 360. Maybe neither???? Surely not a 318.
Thanks

I think the generally agreed upon size is 345.

Not to be a sticklar but it comes out to 347.7 ci, there are 61 cubic inches in 1 liter... 5.7 x 61= 347.7

Yeah, I knew it was some odd number. That's why, I think, most people use 345 for shorthand. Can't really say 350. That would be a Chevy.

Actually...Chrysler had a 350 cu in engine long before the Chevy 350 cu in "Mouse Engine" was introduced:

Chrysler's B engine was a big-block V8 which replaced the early Chrysler FirePower engine in 1958. The B engine started at 350 cu in (5.7 L) and 361 cu in (5.9 L), and a 383 cu in (6.3 L) version appeared the next year. Plymouth called its version of the early B Golden Commando. It produced 305 brake horsepower (227 kW). DeSoto's B engine was the Turboflash. It put out 295 brake horsepower (220 kW). Dodge's B was called the D-500 and produced 320 brake horsepower (240 kW).

The 350 cu in (5.7 L) B engine had a bore of 4.0625 inches (103.19 mm) and was only produced in 1958. It was used on the following cars:
1958 Chrysler Windsor
1958 Plymouth Fury
1958 Dodge Royal
1958 DeSoto

But, yes today anything that's 350...is thought of as a Chevy...
(But many a stroked small block Chevy is a 383?!?! Hey a 383 is a Mopar!!!! Go figure)

Yeah I guess it would sound weird to say 347 cid HEMI. But I think it sounds cool "a 347 HEMI". Lets get that on the hood. We may be on to something here.
