I have a 70 Challenger R/T 383 #matching. When I got the car the tach was not hooked up. I hooked it up but it shows about double what I am running..Show 7000 rpm at 65 mph with a 4.11 gear.... Any one have any idea how to fix this ????

my tach is also does the same thing in my 340 challenger i was told they never were accurate
