Default 11.76 @ 116 in Auto RT!!!

Well guys...I had another new best in my car last week. I finally got the tune all dialed in for the 100 shot of Nitrous. I sprayed almost off the line...maybe 10' or so out.

FWIW...I still have completely untouched engine internals, bone stock tranny, and 3.06 gears (but now have limited slip). This weekend I am putting in a 3000 stall converter. So my next timeslip should be another new best!!!

Here's the slip.

The car typicaly runs somewhere in the 12.6~12.7 range in 2000~2500 da air. The pass after the nitrous run was a 12.69....so the nitrous took about 9/10th a sec off. At first the nitrous was only netting about 7 tenths for a 100 shot. I spent a ton of time making partial nitrous runs logging data and AF to get the tune right. Now I can spray the whole run and not get any KR. There is a lot of potential in the tune of these cars.

There is an easy 2~3 tenths in a converter (which I am installing tomorrow). This thing should be insane with the new converter, a new CAI I am testing, and a 125 ZEX shot. That is about as far as I am going to push it for now. I am thinking low 11's with the nitrous.

The mods are very basic:
Port matched shorty headers, catless mid pipes, Magnaflow comp catback, a catch can, ported throttle body, CAI, 180 stat, Predator tuner with a CMR tune (one for NA..one for N2o), 3.06 Getrag rear with LS, some stratigic lightening, and M&H drag radials. The best the car has ran is 12.58 @ 110 on the motor.

The best thing is....the car still looks totally stock.

Thats a nice run, way to go 10sec. I will be waiting to see how that converter works out. Good luck and keep us up to date.

Default Very Impressive 10 Sec Dodge

You know what you are doing for sure . The 5.7 must be put together good to handle the kind of power you are making . I just learned the other day from a friend the nitrous makes torque not high end hp. And the high gear's many run such as 4.10 didn't work . The 3.06 really worked for you . I have a question. I keep reading about the catch can . I sort of understand what it does . But tell me is there a hp advantage to it . And what does if anything does the factory set up relates to it.

Thumbs up

Great reaction time, almost a .500. The catch cans we always used was a coolant recovery can.Of course it didn,t make h.p.,just kept the track clean. It was a tech rule.10 sec Dodge must have a new device.I don,t think he is referring to a cool can which were used to cool the incoming fuel.

Thanks guys!! The catch can catches the pvc oil so it does not re-enter the intake thus leaning out the fuel mixture. This long term can build up in the intake and cause the car to retard the timing. I am not sure how much of an effect it has, but Diablosport recommends it so I just put one on based on their comments.

FYI....here's what the beast looks like right now. It waiting on the new converter to arrive.

As soon as it get here, the trans is going back in and off to the strip we go!!
