2009 'Cuda?
Thought you guys would find this quote from chryslercuda.com interesting:
"The recent announcement of Daimler Chrysler's upcoming release of the 2008 Dodge Challenger has gotten many Mopar enthusiasts asking "what about the Cuda?" Recent inquiries to the Daimler Chrysler's marketing department has revealed a possible release of a sibling car to the new Challenger. According to Chrysler, this new Cuda, which is referred to at the Chrysler Cuda Concept at the time, would likely be a return to old, with the Cuda being built on the same LY platform as the Dodge Challenger, and it would likely have the same engine offerings, among which is the current 425 horsepower Hemi. While this is only a rumor right now, it has been acknowledged by DCX marketing representatives that this car may actually exist, and the existence of this car as a concept has not been denied.
So, with that, we are lead to ask "what about the Cuda?"
It is no secret that Dodge stole the show at the 2006 North American International Auto Show with the gorgeous Dodge Challenger Concept, and one would think that the release of an awesome sister car, perhaps packed with Dodge's 6.4L, 500+ horsepower crate motor (since the Cuda was the higher performance of the two) would have the same effect at the 2007 NAIAS.
So, should this actually happen, and we do see a return of the Cuda, and the question "what about the Cuda" comes up, my answer will be simple… Ill take mine, in Plum Crazy, thank you."

Pontiac Solstice......Saturn Sky
Chevy Cobolt....... Pontiac G5
Challenger.......Cuda
IMO I realize it's just pics..... but there is too much similarity. That "Cuda" doesn't have it's own unique look. The same yet different.

I look at the Cuda as a reality. Because if Chrysler does'nt make it, the aftermarket will. Much like you have tuner body panels for any Honda and head and taillights. The same can and will be done for the Challenger. You will be able to make a Cuda or almost any old hood combo. The aftermarket and Mopar performance will be turning out all kinds of goodies. Want a six-pack hood scoop? Want a shaker hood? How about a TA hood? Let your imagination run wild. They will more then likely have it on the list. Things are looking goooood!

I wouldn't be surprised that the aftermarket companies don't already have designs ready for production on aftermarket parts. Just waiting for the release and get one for fitting. different grills, hoods, striping, louvers, engine performance, wheels, etc...
