OK, I like those wheels, you are redeemed. LOL

canadiancanuck 03-02-2010 05:40 PM

^ hahaha it was a long process trying to find the "perfect" look that I wanted, these fit the bill, and we're actually very inexpensive. I have to admit Centerline were excellent for pricing and they custom build to order. so not bad.

great thing I have a wonderful wife who shares my love for the car.

The build begins

Hey Canadiancanuk keep going and good luck--I'm sure it'll look great when you're done, well come to think of it we are never done. I've been working on mine this winter with helpful ideas from Kramtrah,BLK5060 and others from the site. I'm also working on performance on a budget.no blowers or anything that fancy.:):)

WOW!!! thats going to be a lot of changes. cant wait to see the finsihed product

canadiancanuck 03-03-2010 06:17 AM

^ these are just cosmetic, not to mention the P&P lower intake, cam, heads and fuel pump changes as well. So she will be a little more go and not all just show. The funny thing is , the faster I make this car the slower I drive hahahaha

lolololol isnt that the way it always seems to work out.

YOU know you have it under the hood so why prove it.:D

canadiancanuck 03-03-2010 10:12 AM

the only thing I have been searching for all morning is for functional scoops for the T/A Hood. They are solid plastic much like the scoopos are on teh SE/SXT hoods, and that's an easy swap to the fucntional SRT8 scoops. But there isn't anything for the T/A hood.

canadiancanuck 03-05-2010 09:46 AM

the hood is officially on, although seeing it in it's unfinished form, I have to say I'm liking the "oldschool" original look more and more.

the scoop will have to be a flat clearcoat, but all in all she looks good, A bit dissappointed that Mopar took away the "functional" aspects of it for reasons unknown, but the hood does look good, and I will be making it a "functional hood". Pics will be posted tonight.

Love those wheels! Centerlines huh? What model/name? 20"? With all the wheel choices out there, I have been most interested in the Centerlines for their reputation, their manufacturing process for building light-weight, strong wheels, and that they are made in the USA (not somewhere in Asia).
The T/A hood really compliments the car. Will you be keeping the hood in a traditional flat black? Now all you need is the magaphone pipes sticking out in front of the rear wheels!

canadiancanuck 03-07-2010 06:04 AM

^ hahahaha I had centerlines on my old ranger, and they are still on the truck to this very day (1994), but I'll be shooting the hood with the matte black look, the nose will be done as well to really have that old school look, hood pins getting drilled as well,

I was looking at exhaust options and I do like that hidden rocker panel look like the G5 but more molded into teh rocker panels.

But we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

for now, paint, lowering, and a few little features are it for this season.

I have always loved those scoops. Dodge is finally offering them when you order the car instead of aftermarket for the last couple of years.

Best wishes on your project.

canadiancanuck 03-07-2010 01:42 PM

thanks Jer, yeah the dealerships are slowly seeing these come into the dealership as factory orders, woulda saved me a bunch had I had the option, but this is just as good as well. hahah

RoswellGrey 03-07-2010 08:20 PM

The car's looking great, CC. I trust you haven't had any issues with this one like you did with your first Challenger.

canadiancanuck 03-08-2010 05:20 AM

nope.... not a single issue.... 'knock on wood' this one has been great so far......

RareTA 03-10-2010 05:07 AM

Your car is going to be sweet when done. Those are nice wheels but whats with the tires? They look kind of funky. Ha Ha You can't go wrong with a T/A hood. This one will suck in large amounts of air.

Paint next week, ran into a delay as i'm now painting the nose area matte blacl to match the look of the old 70's ... man i only need to find someone who can do renderings.

Canadian,
curious, will the brembos work with your wheel choice and stock rotors?

canadiancanuck 03-11-2010 08:05 AM

yep, clearence was discussed when I purchased my wheels to cover the "posibility" of going to bigger brakes, and I'll be upgrading the rotor sizes. Found new spindles through my dealer for the mounting brackets.
