Default emblems

I am starting to get the feeling of a more retro-look to my 2009 R/T. I have the hood to fender stripes with the RT logo. I was considering getting a few of the script-type Challenger emblems and putting one to the left side of the front grill R/T emblem, like the 1970 model. Removing the square-type Challenger emblem from the far left front grill. Putting script Challenger and R/T emblems on the far right rear spoiler, also like the 1970 model. Then possibly putting script Challenger emblems under the R/T stripe on the fender. Thoughts on removing the grill emblem, & is it over doing it?

I am in the process of doing the same type thing. I have totally debaged my decals and emblems expcept for the DODGE on the Back and the Challenger on the Grille which I too plan on replacing with script. I have ordered 3 Challenger Script and 2 R/T decals that I will use to create a rear quarter pannel custom decal. That will be the only badges I will have. My cars is black so I am wanting to keep it clean with suttle emblems.

post a pic when you get yours done. as soon as i get mine done ill post

With all of us being very creative it will be interesting to see all the different variations. A blend of old and/or new seems to work regardless of the placement. Let's keep posting pictures of our "Works of Art"!

I like the retro script type emblems as they just seem to suit the Challenger better than the new grille emblem Dodge used. I ordered the 1970 Challenger grille emblem but find that there was no way to get my hand behind the grille to attach the mounting nuts. So I exchanged the emblem for one of the stick on fender type which I mounted in place of the factory emblem and believe me, it's not going to fall off. The stock Challenger emblem comes right off with a little careful pull.
I have mounted the 1970 Challenger emblems on my front fenders as well as many others have and I think they look great. Since I have a Black Challenger, the emblems breakup the black color a bit and they have a real factory look to them. In fact the Factory will be mounting the same emblems on the retro B5 later in the year.
I do like the grille without emblems as well, but since I paid for an SRT...I want people to know it's an SRT.
It's easy to get many good ideas by just looking at 1970 Challengers, since all their emblems are available from different vendors..just shop around before buying as prices vary greatly..
If you do it right most people will think it's factory...

I tried something different tonight, I pulled the stock grille emblems and centered the Challenger emblem in the grille. I will be putting R/T badges on the front fender so I thought this would make it a little different. Here is an upclose picture. Looks a lot better when standing back looking at the whole front but this pic is all I took. What do you think. The great thing is its easy to move if I dont like it after all

Kind of reminds me of how Chevy mounts their bow tie on the grille. Having said that, if you like it...go for it, it's your Challenger and we all have different ideas on what looks good. But for me, I like the emblem off-set......(or no emblem, which gives the front a clean look)
