Few new toys for the car
I have finished installing the functional hood inserts, hood struts, door sills, and the front and rear mud guards, I figured I'd also attack the front spoiler. I purchased the entire SRT8 front spolier w/ the belly pan and the duct work. not that it's going to give me any HUGE gians, I actually like the inlets on the front spoiler from the SRT8. it seems to flow with the cut outs on the rear fascia.
Springs are still itching to get installed but have been on hold till all this crappy weather and slush melts a bit more. Next is the JBA headers that are on order. |

Do you have any pictures of the mud guards? I've been looking at getting set but I'm not sure if I like them as they will contrast against the stone white color of my car and they look very large.

Uh....CC, you're planning on lowering the car with those springs, right? Doesn't the SRT front spoiler come lower than your current one? You might want to check the clearance.

It's just plastic. It will eventually get shaved to provide proper clearance!:D

^^ hahahaaha, the front spoiler isn't that much different in height than the SE/SXT one, the inlets are cut into the plastic, besides, the darn thing only cost me $75.00 but the springs will only lower the car 1.2" I think after sagging. but I'll be careful, heck my wagon was so low you could just barely get your foot under the rocker panel.
I will post all the pics of the doorsills, mud guards and hood struts and front spoiler tomorrow. |

hahahaha the bad thing is Ros, it has been +10C this week, and everything here is melting, I did wash the car Friday night andMonday aftrenoon, that's how bad it is in less than a day, I'm hoping I can get the exhaust system on this weekend.

Does it snow in Canada?:D Just kidding..been there, done that...drove my Motorhome through your beautiful country on my way to Alaska three years ago, and saw two restored second generation Chargers and a 70 Challenger drive by within 30 minutes after crossing the border...nice welcome... |

I have a stone white R/T and I got the mud guards installed as part of my deal, but the same ones are available from the WWW.MOPARSUPERCENTER web site. There are 2 sizes (front and back). They are black and blend in nicely with the bottom black trim. The front guards are much smaller than the back - so it does not look like overkill. I'm glad I bought them. There is a guy in our car club that has a new silver 09 RT with the mud guards, both front and back. They really don't look that bad, don't forget that you have black along the bottom of the rocker panels....

EVEN MORE NEW TOYS!!
just beauty items really, new Challenger Plate Frame, Hood Pins w/ lanyards, GTS Clear headlamp covers (protection) and a custom trunk liner. Springs are going on this weekend as I'm tired of looking at the box when I pull into the garage every night. then finally my exhaust.... and I think that my baby is all done. Ordered my custom plates yesterday..... they will be here in 2weeks. Can't wait!! of course we all say that and we find more stuff to add on, but i think I am fifnished, well after the SC.... then I'm finished. |

Where did you get the trunk liner? Is it the floor or deck liner?

I'm getting the deck liner done , there is a local auto upholstery shop here that can do it for a really decent price and match the fabric of the interior carpet. It just finishes the car off and looks nicer when the trunk is open.
