Got my grille in shape
I finally got my grille updated to how I wanted it to appear. I went ahead with painting the SRT red as homage to the original and current R/T's. I also mounted the Challenger script to the right side of the grille as in the '70's.

Technically it's only correct for the older 1970 version of the Challenger , as the "new" Challenger comes from the factory with the Challenger on the Passenger side. So the mounting the older Challenger Script on the passenger side is actually the correct side.....
(That's were I have mine mounted)
But whatever side you choose....the older script looks much better than the newer style
badge.
(The new Challenger also needs this script on the front fenders to look right)

And as to the badges on the fenders, they're optional if you have side stripes with the word Challenger cut out of them in script. Also, the badges must be mounted ABOVE the fender bend, not below. Being below incorrectly pays homage to the 1971 model. While the '71 was a fine car, it is not the legendary 1970 model. If you're going to honor the '71 model, then the script grille badge is completely inappropriate. You have to have a grille badge mounted on the driver's side that says Dodge.
I hope this clears up any questions on this matter.

No, Joe, by putting the script badge on the driver's -- or correct -- side, we True Americans are merely correcting a mistake made at the Canadian factory. It probably has something to do with Canada's use of the metric system and the badge location specifications being mistranslated to the wrong side of the car.
