Default underdash ambient lighting

One of the first things I did when I got my Challenger was get rid
of the "dark cave" look when I was in it at night..
I have done this on most of my vehicles over the years, but I always used the 'LED strips'..
this time I used some LED trailer fender lights that I had laying around..
Do not use lights with bulbs in them as they may get tooooo hot..
You can buy these most anyplace for about 7 bucks each..
plus the cost of 2 different colored wires..

I ran the wire from the drivers footwell, behind the center console,
to the passenger footwell, then under the carpeting to the battery..
I hooked it up to an unused 5 amp fuse that is always powered when I have the ignition on
I used some twist ties to attach the lights to the carpeting up out of the way of feet..
and now I have a soft red glow at night while driving..

btw; Dodge has a factory footwell lighting package that the dealer will
install for you.. $245.00 (wtf.!)

this is the driver side:

Default RE: underdash ambient lighting

Sort of a neon affect for the interior....

My first instinct was to say Eeewwwwwww, then I saw the pictures and it works for me. I love when that happens!
Nice job!!
