Here is the lowdown of the Automobile Magazine Top Nine Vehicles for 2009

#9. Dodge Challenger [sm=drooldude.gif] [sm=drlove.gif] [sm=gears.gif] Most desirable car of the whole lot in my BIASED opinion.

#8. Toyota Supra [sm=burnout.gif] boy racer type

#7. Mini Clubman [sm=alcoholic.gif] who thought up this UGLY car?

#6. Volkswagen Scirocco [sm=icon_cheers.gif] a good modern sportster for young folk

#5. Acura NSX [sm=bling.gif] bring the Brinks truck

#4. Lotus Esprit [sm=smiley32.gif] retro Euro sportscar

#3. BMW 135i [sm=dontgetit.gif] sure to be one ugly & overpriced Bimmer

#2. Porsche Panamera [sm=goodidea.gif] family sports car......I love it!

#1. Chevrolet Camaro [sm=americanasmiley.gif] Sure to be the best seller of this 2009 list......way to go GM!!!

Let's take an informal poll of the Dodge Challenger forum members for the top 3 2009 vehicles.

#1. Dodge Challenger (sure to sell out their 2009 MY of 30,000-50,000 Challengers)
#2 Chevrolet Camaro ( I believe GM will sell at least 100,000 Camaro its first year. Mustang sold 160,000 its 1st yr)
#3. Volkswagen Scirocco (Young people will want this Euro sports car. Shouid compete well with Japanese sports cars)

Personally, I really like the clubman. Also you have seemed to have mastered the simleys[sm=hail.gif].

Guys I hope all who want a Challenger get one. But its the smaller number of cars produced that make it such a collector car today. I like the Camaro 1967-1969. And the 1970-1972. But from there it just gets heavier and not so very appealing. Just my opinion of course. The Challenger on the other hand 1970-1971. After that they too get heavier and more under powered. But they only made them 5 years and they had minor changes through out. Chevy will make many Camaros, but that does not mean they will be top of the heap. I will always follow my own taste in cars and be an individual when it comes to mods. I 'm glad to be on a site with people who share my tastes in cars. So bring on the pony wars, we will go round 2. I think we won the first round. Hemi knock out punch. Long live King Kong and Elephants forever. A new day is rising and if I were Ford and Chevy, I'd do my homework. History is a good place to start.

Yea, 426 Hemi for 2009.. I agree thats what makes the E bodies worth the value was small numbers produced. Like the 1971 Cuda so rare but considered baddest of the baddest.

I thank you from sharing that Blu Angel. I do think they are being too optimistic about the Camaro though. I doubt it will be as popular as they are projecting. The Camaro and Firebird sales by the time the twins were discontinued sold only half of what the Mustang sold. Granted the hitatus might help them regain interest, but not by that much.

I'd love to go back to this post in a year or two & look at this ranking again. I see a couple on here that I think will not be a big sales impact at all & definitely think Challenger smokes Camaro (& everything else on the list).
