Recipe for disaster:
Take one company (or industry), add a huge helping of Government involvement and presto…you get a company that becomes dependant on Government funding to survive, and can not produce a quality product that the customer wants….
Good example being what the Auto industry will become…

(We will all be driving "Smart Cars" if the greenies get their way...)

*By the way, our all powerful and all knowing God like leader has decided to expand the "Cash for Clunkers" program as a way of getting those evil old autos off the road...if you own an older Muscle car or Classic auto, this will mean that many protentally restorable autos will be lost to the crusher.....not a good thing...

I bet Obama doesn't drive a Model O. You can bet one thing though, the gas guzzler tax will increase for any vehicle not meeting the Obama standards.

There will be no gas guzzler tax. CAFE will be computed by total sales. Now CAFE is computed on the average of all the models sold. If a manufacture sells 5 models their Fuel economy numbers are added up and divided by 5 to the CAFE. Under the new law a manufacture has to sell a mix of cars that when added together and divided meets the target CAFE. If a manufacture sells 100,000 cars in a year all of their fuel economies are added together and the average better meet the target CAFE or the manufacture gets fines heavily.
