Fox News- Musclecar Wars are Back

Interesting....not really "news" as such since most of what they say is already known. However, it seems as if they keep going back to the Challengers weight, and how it is "made for straight line, 60's type driving"......everytime I read/hear something like this I have to do a double take, as my SRT does handle, and handles great...4000 pounds or not....it flat out handles great. Yes it "might" handle a bit better and have better quarter mile times if it were lighter.....but it's not, so people should get over it, or buy a Camaro. The weight does make it a great cruiser, which is great as the Challenger is really more of a Grand Touring type performance car that has muscle. I wanted a Challenger for reasons other than it's quarter mile and top end speeds...and I got just what I wanted....One hell of a great retro of the 70 Challenger.........

Exactly. I bought the '09 for one reason only: Its looks. It's as close to a '70 as could ever be made these days.

A little late to say this. It came back to live back in 2005. Hopefully it will be able to maintain itself.
