New 6.4L Hemi V-8 To Power Dodge Ram 2500/3500 by 2011
Hopefully the Challenger will see the 6.4L soon.
New 6.4L Hemi V-8 To Power Dodge Ram 2500/3500 by 2011 May 12, 2009 By Benson Kong If horsepower indeed sells cars, Dodge is going to be in a great position with its heavy-duty Ram trucks by 2011. Pickuptrucks.com is reporting that an all-new 6.4L Hemi V-8, based on the current 6.1L Hemi V-8, is already undergoing testing and will be the powerplant of choice in the next-generation Ram HD pickups. The new 6.4L Hemi is expected to put out 450-500 hp. The current high-performance 6.1L Hemi V-8 packs 425 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque and is the source of power for the SRT-8 trims of the Chrysler 300C, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Magnum, and Jeep Grand Cherokee (420 hp). An SRT version of the upcoming 6.4L Hemi is expected to make its debut in the 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT-8. |
If the Challenger is still around after all the dust settles...perhaps it will get the 6.4 after all, time will tell.....

Let's hope. I hope they add VCT and MDS for the auto models (even though I'll have a manual version).
