Revival of the "Pony Express"
The October 2009 issue of Road & Track magazine had a clever article about the 2010 Challenger R/T, the Mustang GT, and the Camaro SS. They road-tested all three cars along the original 1860 Pony Express trail, from Missouri to California.
The magazine rated acceleration, braking, handling, ride, seats, styling, etc. Unfortunately, the Challenger finished third with 185 points. First and second place were awarded to the Camaro SS (373 points) and the Mustang GT (190 points).
Here were the performance times:
Challenger R/T= 14.1 sec. @101.2 mph; 0-60 mph= 5.8 sec.
Camaro SS= 12.9 sec. @110.2 mph; 0-60 mph= 4.6 sec.
Mustang GT= 13.8 sec. @104.0 mph; 0-60 mph= 5.3 sec.

Seems you can't get an SRT-8 into one of these unless they put it up against supercharged opponent. Thats sad very sad indeed. As far as cost difference I thought it was a test of performance. Oh well back seat here we come.
