Start of Advertising Campaign

TNT said it will air episodes of a microseries sponsored by Dodge and AT&T during commercial breaks in its prime-time programming this summer.

The microseries, called “Lucky Chance,” was produced by Full Circle Entertainment and Espionage. It is the start of Dodge's national advertising campaign for the Challenger. :)

Comprised of 20 two-minute episodes, the series follows an undercover Drug Enforcement Administration agent who drives a Dodge Challenger and uses AT&T mobile technology to complete his mission. The series will launch July 22, with the first six episodes appearing with an episode of “Bones” that will feature no other national advertisements.

From what I can see, it appears that Chrysler has decided to use Guerilla Marketing for the Challenger and frankly, that's a good idea. Guerilla Marketing tends to be more effective than traditional marketing. Product placement also is pretty effective, besides what do you find more entertaining, seeing the Challenger being driven or a seeing Dr. Z mustache and all saying "Ze best of American und German engineering!" while driving it poorly.

Right on RLSH! Have a weekly television show where a paid professional (undoubtedly one of the more talented) stuntman put your product through the paces. I'm sure more than one or two Firebirds were sold because of Smokey and the Bandit (albeit film) and KnightRider.

They won't have to have any plots, and they'll have a revered place in my dvr schedule!
