Default Whats Next

I just got through washing my car and I was wiping dry. While wiping the black plastic valance just right of the tag area I felt something loose, then it came into my hand. It was a piece of 1"x 1" x 12" long aluminum angle with a black tar or adhesive that was dried on it. It was under the lip of the valance. I'm going to crawl under the car and see if I can figure out where it came from. Everyone may want to check their car out for this. I will let you know what I find.

Well I tool a better look at the aluminum angle and the black stripe down one side was an adhesive srtip that has lost it's adhesiveness. It appears to have been stuck to the inside of the black valance right of the tag to act as a stiffener. Can anyone confirm this?

When you say the "tag area," do you mean the area in the rear where the license plate goes? I looked under my car and didn't see anything in that area that resembles what you describe. [&:]

Wasn't there a very early post that the rear fascia loosely vibrated at speeds over 60MPH? maybe that is the fix?
