AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Oct. 17 -- More than 24,000 consumers wished upon a car in the "Ask Dr. Z" Dream Car Sweepstakes, but only nine lucky winners are actually driving home in a brand new car, courtesy of DaimlerChrysler.
"The 'Ask Dr. Z' Dream Car Sweepstakes leveraged the momentum created by the 'Ask Dr. Z' campaign and generated additional Web site and showroom traffic," said George Murphy, Senior Vice President - Global Brand Marketing, Chrysler Group. "Consumers across the country have expressed their excitement about our new product line, and we are thrilled to award nine consumers with the vehicles of their dreams."
The winners of an all-new Dodge Challenger are Brenda Freeman of Jasper, Ga.; Evelyn Puett of Plainfield, Ill.; and Phil Sholtes of Grosse Ile, Mich.
Those who will soon be driving an all-new 2007 Chrysler Sebring are Henry Bounds of Laurel, Del.; Roy Nicholas of Clinton, Mass.; and Enrique Turegano of Orange, Calif.
The people that will be able to go anywhere and do anything as winners of an all-new four-door 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited are Gail Baxter of Norwood, N.C.; Raydene Garrison of Juneau, Ala.; and David Stedman of Orlando, Fla.
Of the more than 24,000 entries received, over 55 percent of the entrants registered to win the all-new Dodge Challenger, followed by the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at over 24 percent and the Chrysler Sebring at about 20 percent. In addition, more than half of the entries requested additional information on Chrysler Group products.
Ask. Dr. Z Campaign
The Dream Car Sweepstakes was the second phase of Chrysler Group's "Ask Dr. Z" ad campaign that focused on consumer benefits of the best of American and German Engineering and Design -- and specifically on the innovative design, quality, reliability, performance and fuel economy of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles. The campaign's spokesperson was DaimlerChrysler Chairman Dieter Zetsche.
In the first six weeks of the campaign, there were more than 600,000 visitors to the Web site and more than 4.2 million questions were answered.
Dodge Challenger
Unprecedented public response to the Dodge Challenger Concept resulted in Chrysler Group announcing in July that after nearly 35 years, the Dodge Challenger will return as the ultimate modern American muscle coupe.
Set to debut as a 2008 model in calendar-year 2008, the Challenger will feature the long hood, short deck, wide stance and two-door coupe body style that distinguished the iconic Challengers of the 1970s.
Chrysler Sebring
With the all-new 2007 Sebring, Chrysler is creating inspiration in the common car. An all-new mid-size sedan, Chrysler Sebring combines stunning design with interior craftsmanship, high levels of safety and reliability, exhilarating performance and excellent fuel efficiency -- all at the surprisingly affordable starting price of $18,995 (including a $675 destination charge). Sebring also features many class-leading technologies not available in the mid-size segment.
Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Featuring a one-of-a-kind, four-door open-air design, the all-new 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited expands the Jeep experience to new dimensions. With room for five adult passengers -- a Wrangler first -- and the most cargo space ever offered in a Wrangler, the Unlimited offers even more comfort and space, even more versatility, even more open-air options, even more off-road capability, even more on-road refinement, even more power and fuel efficiency, and even more convenience and safety features. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is $20,410 (two-wheel drive) and
