MDS indicator

I am always wondering when the MDS is activated. Sometimes at a normal 65mph cruising speed I feel/hear a slight change in the pitch of the exhaust but otherwise I have no way of knowing if its engaged or not. I think they should put some sort of indicator light so i know its on & in use.
Anyone else have these thoughts?

Maybe we should also have the option of turning it off like we can the eps.

RE: MDS indicator

I thought the MDS is indicated by the ECO displayed in the window of the speedometer.

the manual says it should show "Fuel Saving" on the MPG page but I don't think anyone has seen this ever light up.

I swear I have looked at everything thats ever lit up & never seen it. Maybe the display has to be in a certain mode in order for us to see it.

RE: MDS indicator

My owners manual doesn't say anything about such a display. I have been told that some of the early owners manuals do. I picked my car up on September 4th, so they must have been real early. I have never seen the display on my car either. I feel like the MDS is working but is is more of a seat of the pants thing and nothing definite, barely perceptible. If anyone has the early manual, what page is this referenced on.
