Replacing R/T auto shifter

Replacing R/T auto shifter
I'm replacing the stock auto R/T shifter with the Mopar T-Handle Shifter. HOWEVER... I can't figure out how to take the stock shifter off . Can someone help me out here PLEASE!!

Just get a small flathead screwdriver between the bottom of the shifter knob and the top of the chrome ring and it pops down, allowing the shift knob to be removed. I'm guessing the replacement shift knob or handle is retained with a set screw IDK. Hope this helps.
