Default Brembo Breaks

In the last SRT Engineers Chat Session, I asked about the correct way to break-in the Brembo brakes.

The engineers said to stab the brakes twice for 2 second intervals every 3/4 miles for the first 60 miles!

This seems excessive. Has anyone done this?

Sounds kind of bizarre to me. Any reason that you would need to break in brakes like this..??

That does seem excessive. Race compound brake pads and rotors don't even need that much break-in.

I found a more realistic break-in procedure for Brembo brakes on Tirerack:

"In a safe area, apply brakes moderately from 60 to 30 mph and then drive approximately 1/2 mile to allow the brakes to cool. Repeat this procedure approximately 30 times."
