HELP!!! Something fell off CRUSH

Hey Fellas I need a little help. I started CRUSH today after it set all week and 12" long piece of 1/2" angle aluminum w/double-back tape on one side fell out from under the rear bumper area near the license plate. It doesn't look like it belongs on the car.

I think I saw a post about someone having this happen before.

Please advise.

Could it possibly be the backing plate that receives the license plate mounting screws?

There are no holes in it.

Thx

Interesting. Now it sounds like a vibration damper. On these plastic fascia cars it is sometimes necessary to add weights strategically placed that control panel wobble while the cars are at certain speeds. Usually, they are applied with something stronger than double sided tape.

It goes on backside of plastic bumper.
The black piece on very bottom.
I think they help stiffen it up..like a splint..LOL
There should be 1 on each side right inside by exhaust tip.

Yep, give those guys the GOLD STAR!! My Fascia is cut kinda strange. There is an area on the right hand side where I can see where the weight was partially adhered to. Simply dropped the two fasteners, cleaned the surface and applied my SUPER double back tape, problem solved.

Thanks guys.

Unfortunately, Paladin, as a car ages (and 08s, after all, have a LOT of age on them), more and more things will go wrong with it. Today, it's the piece of stiffening for the fascia. Tomorrow, maybe it's a door. The next day, who knows what. Definitely sounds like it's time to send Crush to the crusher and get a modern 09. Even better, an 09 SE. God only knows what the vibration from those overpowered, gas-guzzling SRT engines does to the car. ;)

OK, you convinced me. I'll trade up to an 2009 SS Camaro.
:D

Greg, I was guessing it was a piece of Mustang or Camaro that you and Crush had perhaps run down on one of your "weekend hunts!

Funny you should mention that Joe. I just had one of those HUGH Ford twin turbo pick up trucks try me on the way home. We pulled from the light normal speed, side by side and screams out his drivers side window to my wife, tell him to hit it. I could not make out what he said at first and then I hear his turbo's spool up and he's a full truck length ahead of me and my screams at me, go, go, go.. So I punch CRUSH and in about 150 ft I was 4 or 5 cars ahead. He pulled up to me at the next light and says, Sweet!
